Situational awareness, the habit of actively and intentionally gauging one’s surroundings, doesn’t mean one is fearful or paranoid.  In most cases, it involves an honest assessment of the situation you are entering so you can go with confidence.  Confidence and empowerment are more the descriptions of  the prepared lifestyle than fright or paranoia.  But simply carrying a gun isn’t going to empower you.  The lifestyle of preparedness is a mindset that is ever evolving. As a result confidence soars so your disposition can remain: “Nope!  Not afraid!”

The preparedness lifestyle includes more than simply carrying a gun. It involves:

  • Situational Awareness
  • Ongoing training
  • Simple common sense
  • Getting past fear to taking responsibility for your own safety.
